(Women's History Month) Sculptor Meta Vaux Warrick Warrick (1877 - 1968)

#blackhistoryguardians 💚🖤❤️💛Sculptor, Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller (1877 – 1968) was educated at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts and Académie Colarossi. One of Fuller’s most notable creations was a sculpture of Mary Turner, a young, pregnant black woman who was brutally killed in Georgia by a violent mob the day after protesting the lynching of her husband. Fuller was also a powerful voice during the Harlem Renaissance, designing beautiful artwork with bold, Afrocentric themes. #blackhistoryguardians #history #historyfacts
